WhippetSchnoods®
&
 GreyhoundSchnoods®

Funk and Waggle! Fabulous one-of-a-kind WHIPPETSCHNOODS® & GREYHOUNDSCHNOODS®.  Each snood is unique.  Lovingly made for your special whippet(s) or greyhound(s) with everything.  Handknit using a variety of handspun hand-dyed wools mixed with fabulous fibers (traditional and funky!). Some wools handspun by yours truly!

The snood can be worn as a turtle neck with or without a coat.  Provides extra warmth pulled up over the ears in colder weather.  Great attire for lure coursing, race meets, shows, or saved just for fancy walks in the woods or downtown!

TAJA passed her re-certification screening in December 2007 as a Delta Society Pet Partner. She is an experienced veteran having visited for over 5 years now. She looks forward to our visits to our local long-term care facility.

Although Snickers loves people and visiting at age 13 we felt she probably needed a break from walking on those hard cold linoleum floors and that she should live the total whippet life of leisure: pillows, feather beds, fluff, down blankets.....you get the picture. Retiring Snicks meant that another ARTEMIS hound had to be trained to partner up for visiting. Ms. Amelia's Delta Society screening also had a positive outcome in December 2007 ~ her very first time albeit not because of her handler!

2006 American Whippet Club Willow Award

 Snickers and TAJA

“It is wonderful to know that the magic continues throughout our country in the work of so many wonderful whippets and their humans. In the past the award has gone to just one team.  However, this year it seems impossible to separate Snickers and her daughter TAJA, owned by Rhonda Gold and Michael Small. You are carrying on Willow’s spirit in the wonderful work that you are doing each week.”

Congratulations are in order…..Vesta earned her first Best of Breed ASFA ribbon on her maiden voyage weekend at the Southeastern Greyhound Club in Georgia, defeating 28 whippets!  She returned to Georgia April 30 and May 1st and won Best of Breed both days defeating ~ 29 whippets each day and finishing her Field Championship.  Vesta did this in only 4 trials in 2005!  Congrats to her owners, Tim and Marina Caros and Carlee Davies. Aslan and Artemis co-breeders could not have asked for a more loving home for Vesta.  Tim and Marina Caro have been totally and completely smitten with their first whippet.  Bet they can’t have just one!!!!
